Having a smartphone is very exciting. Gone are the days when simply making phone calls and texting your friends and family were all that you needed; now you need a multifunctional phone that acts as a camera, MP3 player, portable GPS, web browser and more. But with so many features on your new GSM smartphone it may be a little daunting just to figure out how to make full use of it. Worry not, here are a few tips on how make full use of your smartphone:
- Use keyboard shortcuts. Want to open up your browser? Use Search + B. Want to open up Gmail? Use Search + G. Need to message your friends? Search + S will open up Messaging. Check out your manual for more convenient keyboard shortcuts you can use to simplify the experience.
- Add shortcuts to your home screen. This is a very useful feature on Android phones that allows you to create shortcuts for apps that you use the most often. Just press on any part of the screen that is not occupied and an option should show up for you to create a shortcut. This is great if you need to message someone at a moment’s notice and with a few button presses.
